While standing in the check-out line at a supermarket, I observed a woman ahead of me figuring out whether she had enough money to pay for the items she had picked up. There was a gentleman with her. The conversation between them indicated he was an acquaintance who had given her a ride to the supermarket in his vehicle and she, in return, was going to pay for items he wanted from the supermarket. Now it appeared she didn’t have enough money to pay for all they had picked up and she was apologizing to him because they needed to put back some items. She expressed how appreciative she was that he had given her a ride and promised him she would make up for it at another time.

There was nothing extravagant about the scant purchase they were attempting to make and it broke my heart that they couldn’t pay for it. I told the cashier I would pay for the items they were deleting from their order and asked her to ring up the items with my order. The faces of that man and woman lit up as they expressed disbelief that someone was actually doing that for them and they both gushed words of appreciation.

I was just happy to have been part of their blessing that day.

For a school project I was part of a group who organized a yard sale, the yard sale was a charity event to raise money for my school’s Sparrow club which is non profit organization that helps families in need of money because of medical expenses. The Sparrow is a 8 year old girl who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer in children. During the yard sale a man came up and donated a 1,000$ out of his pocket, no one knew this man, and he didn’t say his name, just gave us the money and left. All in the end thanks to this man we raised 2300$ in two days

I stopped at Wendy’s while on my work today. Ordered a meal through the drive-thru. Got to the window to pay and was waiting for the cashier to let me know the balance. He stumbled on his words as he told me that the lady in the car ahead of me paid for my meal. I said that he must be joking. He stated he wasn’t and that he figured she knew me or I knew her. I was baffled. I didn’t know who was ahead of me. I don’t know anyone in this huge city after commuting an hour in every day. I figured they must have charged her by accident. I wanted to get out and either straighten out the mixup or thank her, but there’s no room to open your door and get out in the drive-thru lane. She was getting her food at the window and then drove away. I pulled up to the next window and asked the employee if she got a look at the generous driver. The employee thought she was in trouble and said she’d go get the manager. I told her it was ok, I was just curious who it was. The only thing I can remember about her car was the licence plate KARENMC. I wanted to say thank you.
I’ve lived here for 4 years now and here in the city is so cut-throat, everybody for themselves mentality… and then that random kindness happens and flips my work week on its head. 🙂 So, thanks!

A random lady who lives four houses from mine came to knock on my door just a couple of days ago. She was a stranger someone I have never even seen before. She introduced herself and explained she wanted to help my family. We are new to the neighborhood and she had heard from word of mouth that we had ten kids to feed. She is a elderly lady and invited me to her home and gave me food right out of her fridge and freezer. Little did she know at the time mine was empty the day she came knocking at my door. The next day she told me to head to her church, she even came to my house to pick me up in her car. She bright cookies and treats for all my little ones. How amazing this day and time a total stranger comes to your house and gives you food from her own fridge. She is on a fixed income and does not have much but is more then willing to share with my extra large family. We receive no help from social services for food so little things like this goes a long way in my home. I know she does not expect anything in return but I honestly feel she is a great person for this random act of kindness. To some a little food is not much but to my family it’s means the world to us. After my husbands sister death we took in her two children four years ago. My sister gets sick and we take in her four children who traveled from Georgia to our home here in Virginia. It has always been hard to provide for my family since I don’t work to stay home and take care of so many. What a blessing this lady and her church!

Hey would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m going
to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m
looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for being off-topic but
    I had to ask!

My husband and i ended up being now more than
happy when Louis managed to do his investigations
through the entire ideas he discovered from your very
own weblog. It’s not at all simplistic to just be releasing solutions that many many people might have been trying to sell. Therefore we acknowledge we now have you to give thanks to for that. The main illustrations you’ve
made, the straightforward website menu, the relationships you will help foster – it is most fabulous, and it is aiding our son in addition
to our family feel that this subject matter is fun,
which is tremendously indispensable. Thanks for the whole thing!

The other day, while I was at work, my sister stole my iphone and
tested to see if it can survive a 40 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation.
My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it
    with someone!

We have been reaching out to Random Acts of Kindness leaders all over the nation to see if you can help spread the word about Social Storehouse through your social networks. We believe there is enough to go around for everyone, and we hope to find others that believe that, too. Our goal is 10 donations/10 needs from each state to initially stock the storehouse. Can you help? http://www.socialstorehouse.com

    Thank You!

So an acquaintance of mine, lives in Denver, CO sent me a facebook message this morning saying a friend of hers was staying at a hospital near me since her daughter was admitted a few days prior. She asked if there was anyway I could go show this mom some love and support.
Little baby Lucy was born January 30,2014 with five separate heart defects. Lucy came into this world facing an uphill battle larger than life itself. Lucy’s heart defects range in severity starting with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome, Double Outlet Right Ventricle, Pulmonary Valve Stinosis, Ventricle Septal Defect, and lastly Transposition of the Great Arteries. She has had one major surgery and is scheduled for another. (http://www.gofundme.com/6scg3g)

So my 4 yr old daughter and I made a quick trip to Target for a comfy blanket, an inspirational book for mom, and little booties for Lucy. Then we stopped by the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and surprised Mommy (mind you we had never met her) the look and shock on her face was priceless because she didnt know anyone in LA. Her and her baby were airlifted her (we have some of the best cardiologists). So we surprised her with some gifts, hugs, and encouragement. It was so rewarding. Everyone was happy, Mom and baby Lucy, my friend in Denver, and my daughter as well.
